Setting your computer monitor to a black screen/desktop with dark web pages will save you money and is energy efficient. It takes a lot of energy to keep those computer screens white and much less for a black screen.

True, and I usually have a darker shade desktop.
Try maximising a blank notepad document and then turning off all the lights, you get quite a radiant display!
Well, at night anyway
