In Staples today I picked up some white board cleaner and noticed the list of ingrediants was similar to my nail polish remover. Instead of buying the stuff at $5 a bottle I went home and tryed polish remover on a paper towel instead and voila! It works beautifully --- at 50 cents a bottle from the dollor store. Now I need some help with another problem. Does anyone know how I can thin wite out? I've got some old bottles I don't want to throw away but it's too thick to use. (have tried alcohol and the polish remover - it doesn't work, just clots up) I'm thinking maybe mineral oil, any other ideas?

I suspect that if the white out has dried up then water would be the obvious answer. Anyway you need to find out which of the ingedients is most likely to evaporate, that will probably be it.
Its good that you've found a cheap alternative to the cleaner, make sure you check that it doesn't damage the board or have any other unexpected effects though ![]() |
