Default A Tip for People Who Work From Home

Keep a schedule, just like you would if you went to an office everyday. Sometimes I work throughout the day - putting in more time than I would if I were at an office. Keeping to a schedule means you still have time for other things in life!

That's great advice which I personally need to start following. It would be easier if I wasn't wrangling two toddlers while I try to work, though....

That's a pitfull of working from home. Other things interfere.

I always find it ironic that my house was cleaner when I worked elsewhere. I mean - I don't sit around and watch tv (we don't have Tv at all because it's a waste of time, in my opinion,) but yet I am always doing something that isn't housework!

Yes time management is a major factor in working from home. I think that is the best advice I have ever gotten, when working from home schedule as you would a work day but usually if you work from home you have kids and having little ones running around is certainly not your typical work day. In any case working from home is a great opportunity but one that needs to be thought out thoroughly before one takes on the challenge.

Default multitasking

I do alot of things from home. I tried that working outside of teh home and hated it.
Now I put up wallpaper, do sihes, laundry, mop floors, do manuscript writing, get my homework done.
I ried that schedule thing, but it never worked well.
I usually get up at 4 in teh morning withhubby do a bit of work then head back to bed for a nap, while the washer is going. when I get up its dishes and kitchen cleaning over the morning programs and homework at teh kitchen table.
I managed ot get everything done. I wish that I had a working dryer so I can get more done.

Exclamation Time management

This is a welcome advise. I get up in the morning at 5 AM and start the day with a brief walking. I have to schedule my timings for various jobs...! At present I am not having a fixed schedule.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Time is gold, so we have to use it wisely. I wake up early at 3:30 in the morning. I prepare breakfast for my husband. He always starts his work at 5 AM, and I at 7 AM. I must check the orderliness and cleanliness of the house before I go to work. I have a good feeling when I came at home with things in order and clean, I don´t have worry anymore. It´s a peaceful feeling. The rest of the day, spend in computer for posting. This is also one of my hobbies, but I got income too.

Default Scheduling is the way to go

Without scheduling you can't accomplish much. When you work from home don't forget to relax and if you don't, your productivity or the quality of your work will suffer. The reason for that is if you work outside of the home you start and stop work at a given time where your time is already scheduled for you, and you can relax on your free time, but if you work from home that schedule could be blurred.
