Default Favorite Work Movie?

Mine are Office Space and Glen Garry, Glenn Ross, but I've seen lots of good ones.

Something about the work environment can really make a great film.

What's yours?

Without a DOUBT... Office Space is my FAVORITE work movie. Now, I have a soft spot for "Working Girl". I am not sure why I also like this movie, but I really do!

Working Girl had it's good points. First: a young Alec Baldwin! Harrison Ford ain't too shabby, either. A nice Carly Simon soundtrack helped. That Sigourney Weaver character you loved to hate! And finally, Melanie Griffith's unlikely climb to the top.

This reminds of "Don't tell mom the babysitter's dead." It also has a hellish female boss, although she turns out to be a good egg in the end. A ridiculous promotion goes to an high school student (Christina Applegate,) and of course, she turns the companies fate around. SURE. But it's a good movie, too.

Office Space is actually the only office movie I can think of off the top of my head. When did Working Girl come out?

Working Girl was in the 80's.

I can also think of many good skits on Saturday Night Live! Like the copier boy and the hilarious computer guy skits with Jimmy Fallon.

Mine is a real oldie - Desk Set, with Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey, from 1957. The premise is about the introduction of an electronic brain (mainframe computer) into the department ran by Hepburn. Tracey was the guy who designed the computer and was overseeing the installation. Gig Young was the executive who had been wooing Hepburn for several years, but began to worry when he saw sparks between Tracey and Hepburn. The movie is a lot of fun and has a great cast. If you get a chance to see this one, pop a bowl of popcorn and give it a shot.

I liked the Devil Wears Prada. It might have been about the fashion world but it was also a work related movie. I loved Meryl Streep as the wicked boss.

My favorite work related movie has got to be 9 to 5. Lilly Tomlin saying: "My God, I've killed the boss! You think they won't fire me for a thing like that!"

Yep, I would have to agree that the best one would have to be for me 9 to 5. I loved that movie.
