Default The Home Office

Okay, several of us have one. What do you consider to be the most imprtant components of your home office? If you could change one thing about your home office, what would it be?

The most important components would be the office chair and the computer. If I could change one thing, it would be the configuration of the entire room. I don't have things placed well, and I am always having to lean at odd angles to reach for what I need.

The lighting is always awkward, I try to have it not dark, not too strong, and not at a bad angle....tough times.

I'm pretty fortunate that way. Everything is in easy reach for me, so I can mange pretty well to function. Just for esthetic purposes, I do wish the room was a little bigger, but I can manage.

I really shouldn't complain too much, because my home office is 200% better than my office at work. I am in a tiny cramped office with no window. At least I don't have a cubicle!! It is a wreck, too, because I have little storage and the space is so tiny. I feel claustrophobic!

Ergonomic situation is important, as is basic furniture. A chair with a high-back. Phones, fax, computer and printer within easy reach.

I would say the one thing that would make my home office desk better is if everyone in my family would stop piling their junk on it.

Heh, I guess that would be quite problematic quite fast, maybe put some signs around or lock certain doors that give access to it

Working from home is not always easy because if you have a family it can be difficult to set up a home office that is only used as an office. So it is important to have space that can be seperate from your other family areas.
