I remember it used to be the case that multifunction machines had a bad reputation for reliability - ie, if one feature stopped working, everything stopped working.
However, have multifunction devices improved? If I bought a multifunction now, and 2 years from now some feature stopped working (ie, the scanner) then should I expect to be able to still use the other features (ie, fax)? |

I have always shyed away from multifunction machines for that reason, Emma, and because manufacturers tend to make a better product if they are only focusing on one thing rather than multiple functions.
just my 2 cents though. |
