Default Paper Jams

I had to copy a large quantity of flyers yesterday. I loaded the copier with paper, selected the number of copies, hit start, then went on my way. Not even 10 seconds later, I hear it beeping like mad. Sure enough...paper jam. But get this...it wasn't jammed in one place, but in three. It took half an hour to find and get all the paper out. Does anyone else have any good copier horror stories?

Doesn't that just drive you up the wall? I remember one time we had the idea of printing our own brochures, but none of us thought to check what weight paper the printer would take and which drawer to put it in. The result was a royal mess that took us a good half hour to undo. At that point, we sat down and read the manual and then proceeded the way we should have done in the first place.

I'm just starting to dislike that copier in general, really! It seems like every time someone uses it, something goes wrong. You should've seen us when we were trying to put more toner in it...we made a horrible mess!

The copy machine does seem to be especially in tune with Murphy's Law, doesn't it? It seems as if whenever there is a big project that must be turned out, that is when things begin to go crazy. Sometimes the idea of carbon copies doesn't seem so bad after all LOL

I've spent a few days fixing copiers and printers... once I found an entire row of staples, still connected, under the toner! How?!

I used to work in a copy shop!!! ACK! So, I spent so many hours a day up to my elbows in copiers. Plus, we had 3 self serve copiers in a college town. I was constantly showing people how to use it, and fixing jams. I think my hands were permanently stained from toner for awhile. egad.

No doubt. I remember one job I had where it seemed like the copy machine developed a romantic interest in me. It never jammed on me, but would jam at least once a week on everyone else and I would end up being the one to delve in and fix the problem.

I was part time IT support at one job and most of my day was spent with my head in the copier removing the tiniest little shred of paper that was causing continual jams. We had new copiers in before I left and they were worse than the old ones they had replaced.
