Digital Camers and webcam?

Is it possible to use a Digital Camera as a webcam? That serves two purpose with one device.

Sorry this reply is so late, but I hope it's still helpful.

It is possible to have some digital cameras function as a webcam, but from what I gathered (from googling) it has to have a live video preview and involves a software download. Not all camera models can do this, though.
