The network in one of my old jobs, as soon as you plugged in a laptop, the network would slow down to a crawl, there was talk before the project was disbanded was to put laptops on a seperate dedicated line to prevent network slowdown when laptops logged in, it only took 2 laptops logging in at the same time to cause this to happen.

I have never heard of a network slowing down from a laptop, but they are allowed where I am. I like it so all of my stuff is on one computer. That way if needed I can finish everything, incase I spent too much time spinning in the chair . I would reccommend it.

When there are no PC stations available, I can use a notebook at the office but I prefer to use a desktop because of the keyboard. It would be awesome if everybody are using notebooks that are equipped with the latest devices but it would cost the company a lot of money to upgrade the current equipments.

I use my notebook computer for my home office. I do have to say I have never used one when I worked in an office though. Some people say they do not handle some of the business programs as well.
