Default Second thing to do

Especially now when Internet is creating the prospect of starting a small business more and more possible, those who have cushy jobs, with a long term job security that goes with it or otherwise should look into such possibilities because the potential could be rewarding. They can do the ladder-climbing while at the same time trying other alternatives that might free them from the workplace bondage. This is where time management would be crucial.

Default a good number

Many of the people who've started the best ventures on the Internet in various fields are people who had full time jobs and they quit when their online business takes off, which means they've to be a different breed, yet being conservative is also the way to go, at the same time it's demanding. There might not even be enough energy and time, but some have done it.

Default home business and a bit of outside work

I found in my home business, freelance writer designer verusus an online shop is bit more difficult.
With many of the online ebay style business or sellingbusiness the work is different. So.. to add abit of working capital fr advertsising, personal events etc I found part time work is helpful.
Not all business work as well as expected or even promised. thats why my weekly part time work comes in handy! If you can a few housrs is enough tocoempsate budgets and keep you form going craazy at home.

Default It takes time

It's not easy to make money online, but anyone who is into web design, programming, SEO, or free lancing, these fields can be lucrative once established, but it takes a while. One good thing you mentioned is you can use your free office hour to make money, unless your employer is nosy.

I sincerely think that there is money to be made on line and I think it is increasing daily. New companies are appearing more and more frequently and they are recruiting on line workers. There is an advantage for both the employer and independent contractor.

I just wonder how long it can last...is it the wave of the future or will there be an eventual bust?

I can't see the internet hitting a bust, not in our lifetime anyway- Perhaps it may be different, and of course it will constantly evolve, but I think it's here to stay in one form or another.

I guess I don't see an actual "bust" per se, but a saturation of the market may come into effect where small businesses will not get enough traffic to subsist without good content.

I worked from home for 6 years, but became crazy with isolation.

I'm back in school full time now, and don't expect to stay home ever again.

It has it's good points, but also bad ones.
