Default Is Dell the best?

I hear that Dell make the best monitors in the world today.
Is this true?

I would never have guessed this myself, i actually thought that Dell monitors were rebranded from a monitor manufacturer?

There 24" monitors are pretty much the standard in terms of widescreen displays. They make a lovely monitor with a lot of extra features. There 30" that came out is also getting pretty good reviews.

My next upgrade will be to a 24" Dell unless something drastically changes in the market. They are just really good devices. The Apple monitors are good as well, but much more expensive.

Dell are a pretty strong brand, but there are plenty of alternative options that will give you a good LCD monitor for a decent price.

I have extensively tested monitors in order to find a "best", but I can say that they (Dell) are pretty good; however, as mentionned above, this does not mean that you should limit yourself to those.

To some extent it depends on what you mean by best - just quality or value for money. If the latter, then I'm inclined to agree as Dell does have a good pricing structure.

Some of the extras on the Dell 24" monitor are really nice. Built in card reader and usb ports for example.

Yes, that looks quite fancy
I'm really due for a change, somehow 17 inches isn't good anymore, I'll vouch for 19

It's funny, I used to use a 17". I still have it, but I tend to just use my laptop these days!

Well it depends, how big of a screen does your laptop have? I have seen laptops that have screen brighter and better than my desktop screen

Dell has really pushed on being a strong brand name - but there have been quite a few complaints on the blogophere about their customer service.
