Default Getting along with the aboves

Whether it's a manager or a supervisor if for some reason getting along isn't there it's a big problem, and these guys are in a position to like or dislike someone out of the blue. When that's the case if the company is small and there is a shortage of divisions, it could be a nightmare that could lead to anything.

I usually get along with my boss, but I find her to be very temperamental. Last week she gave me an impossible task. After I told her as much, she pretty much shrugged her shoulders and told me "find a way." I sought help from other colleagues and found a solution that she had originally told me was a "last resort." It then got back to her that I sought help, and she reprimanded me for not talking to her. It was frustrating, because I had tried and she just walked away. What's even more frustrating is the fact that she isn't always like that!

Default What about the experience?

What would you do when you make it to such level experiencing some of the side effects of not being treated by the aboves? The experience shouldn't be only the work, especially if someone becomes a manager or a supervisor; his or her people's ability should be assessed before given the post. Nevertheless, from what we know of business owners, as long as the job is done, the minor discomforts and inconveniences are compensated for through the pay. That's why it's pays to be tough at workplace up to a point where it's unbearable.

Default I never did

I rarley got along with my managers. When I ws an EMT my supervisor teamed me upw ith a different person each day and I could never getalongw ith them, becaus eof their wacked out crazy personalities.
When I finally did get in sync with a few of my coworkers he decided to shift me to another duty. INsane managers I seem to get.
My next manager was wonderful. when I did MAll intercept interviews. I loved her,,a dn I loved the job. It was always fun interactionand i never minded being reprimanded if i need to be by her..s he never ade ita chore to work fer her. My next supervisor came with this job i just quit. She was crazy.. i had stores, to service Disney movies. But teh problem was she took away mileage,a nd she changed the schedule all teh itme, Just when I go ti down pat she swticthed it.. so I quit. I was glad though, for a montsh work of driving and work where I shoudl have been pais at least 450,, i was barely paid 175.
I getalong wellw ith editors, and supervisors that have something in common with, especially age and education background.

Default Self employed

Nothing beats working for yourself, but the problem is you can become a manager at a young age at some places, especially if you're working in the hi tech industry or some outlets, and that old fashioned problem of age and experience disappears. And co-workers for the most part enjoy to be a pain on the neck, especially if someone is new at a new workplace, which shows the problem isn't only with the mangers or supervisors, but co-workers could be a big problem.

Here's how you get along with your bosses, your bosses boss and their boss:

"Yes, sir."

"Good morning, sir."

"Yes, absolutely."

"What a great idea! That's why you're the boss!"

In other words, kissing ass.

Well there's "kissing ass" and then there's just being polite. There's no reason to go out of your way to make their job harder after all.

Boot licking and such is a good way to go up, but by that, you forfeit any actual integrity and self-respect, you'll know that everything you get will not be deserved, I wouldn't want to work that way at all, I prefer simply doing my job right.

I wouldn't say that I "kiss ass". But, I know when to hold my tongue, and I know when to agree (even when I don't totally agree) I have also learned how to make everything look like it is her idea, when it isn't.

Makes life easier.

I had one boss that I could never stand. He was a criminal and eventually was led out by security for stealing employee paychecks, amongst other things. He was such a jerk, and he hated me, too, because he knew I knew he was a phoney.

I could never even pretend to like him.
