Default USB with a Vaccine..

So many USB Thmb Drives..... all pretty much the same old thing. How about something new? How about a Thumb Drive with built in protection against Spyware, Adware and Viruses.... GET OUT!! (think Elaine from Seinfeld.) Well our good friends over at ICELL have come up with just that. Dubbed the world's first Portable Anti Virus Thumb Drive, the VaccineDrive boasts up to 4GB of storage along with built in software to protect you from the evils lurking on-line.
Check it out...

I tried to go to the site but it seems like they are having some database issues. I am bit intrigued by this, as it would be useful for trying to clean up computers that are overwhelmed with spyware and/or virus infections.

Do you know more how it works? Otherwise I will just go back and check the site later to see if it is back up.

That's an irony... a company that sells a USB key to protect you is having site problems.. LOL...

What will they think of next. I would definitely get one just to try it. But the irony in the website just kills me. Too funny.

That's a shame. I wanted to see what kind of updates they were offering to keep the protection current and relevant.

Hmm, updates...never thought of that.

Is the price astronomically higher to get a USB thing with this protection? If it is, I'll just go ahead and take the steps to protect it and my computer myself.

Yeah, if there aren't free and regular updates, the virus protection will be obsolete before you buy the stick. Then all you've done is paid extra for, essentially, nothing.

Well, the site works now, but after looking it over, I'm not too certain if the product is worth it or not. Nothing there about updates either. Passing for now.

It's an interest idea, that's for sure, but as a practical use, I wonder if it's going to work as it claims it will...I guess the future will tell.
