Default No big deal

If I'm in his place, knowing that your husband is there, it's just an earnest mistake that shouldn't be read into it in any other way. But if you were alone, well don't blame him if a question pops up his head and looks at you quizzically.

My husband would crack up over something like this. I would have been so embarrassed!

LOL given the context of the situation, I am sure everybody had a nice laugh. And who knows? Perhaps that guy needed a break from his troubles and you gave him something to smile about. No harm done at all.

I can beat it...

My husband and I usually briefly touch base once or twice a day while I am at work. At the end of the conversation, my brain has already switched back to working and my automatic "OK, love you, bye" comes right out. So, I had just talked to my husband when a male coworker called with a request. I answered his question, and then started reading an email as he chatted a bit (wasn't paying attention) So, he says "Thanks, bye" and I said (automatically) "OK, love you, bye." It then hit me... THAT WAS A COWORKER!!!
I called him back, and he was laughing so hysterically that he couldn't even speak. Thank goodness he can take a joke.

Ha ha. It's kind of like answering your home phone with "Welcome to McDonalds, can I take your order please?"

Hehehe! It's a funny slipup, that's for sure! It hasn't happened to me yet, knock on wood.

Some people are just more touchy/feely than others.

I know yesterday I was talking to a man and his wife at a family function, and he put his arm around me. That's not something you experience every day.

That's true, nowadays, I think some people would be even shocked and jump back.
