Feel free to let loose with your stories of bad bosses.
![]() I remember a few years back there was a general manager with a series of duty mamanagers under him. 1 was a total control freak - I once got a warning because he walked by, turned down the monitor contrast to such a level as I couldn;t read it, so turned it back up. He repeated what I'd done, so I repeated it again. Then off to the managers office. Sure, it was a stressful environment, but a boss as picky as that is taking out his own stresses on employees and that's simply bad practice. Oh - and one of the others was caught red-handed stealing from the safe. ![]() |

I only had one really bad boss, because he ended up ruining my career. It's obviously a long story - but this guy fabricated his entire background and was hired by a major company to be my boss - and the director over hundreds of employees. He had no job skills and no people skills and within hours, we were butting heads.
He too was fired for stealing - but he had only been there less than 6 months - in the meantime - he had me demoted to another department where, after 9 months of frustration - I ultimately quit. I had been with the company over 10 years but nobody would step up and help me out. I filed a lawsuit against the company and was blacklisted. |
