What kind of boss do you like?

I actually like a boss that sticks to the rules, because then everyone is on the same page and there is no favoritism. That doesn't mean they have to be a jerk, but I just feel more comfortable knowing that they will do the right thing.

I like a boss that doesn't look down on me and act like they are better than you. I have had a boss like that and they are no fun at all.

I like a boss who stays away from me and let's me do the job I was hired for without too much oversight.

I agree. I like a boss who has laid out rules for everyone to follow equally. I don't like them to look over me though. If they don't think I am capable of doing the job correctly then they shouldn't hire me.

I like a manager who doesn't "hover" but is available to answer questions and troubleshoot problems as they come up. Luckily, my current boss is very much like this.
