Malware Outsourcing as the criminal process expands.

According to the latest security report by Symantec the Malware market has developed greatly over the last year.

As criminal world expands and becomes more sophisticated it is increasingly common that parts of the process are outsourced such as code writing, distribution and even the set up of support services for those who buy the software.

Some criminals even offer a guarantee in that is if one piece of malware is blocked then another is sent immediately, and so the nature of malware is now completely business orientated.

As malware groups have invested heavily in software automation is now far easier to generate and distribute.

These latest developments have made it far harder for security firms to stay on top of the process, and Symantec have revealed that new malware threats rose from 74,482 in 2006 to 499,811 last year.

As the production of malware is so dynamic, security firms believe that the best way of protection is to now attack the business cycle and to further disrupt the commercialization of the process in order to stop it expanding further.

An example of the increased commercialization of the process is the shocking fact that a US credit card can be had for as little as 40 cents.
