Asustek U2E laptop to be launched next week

Asustek Computer, a Taiwan based supplier of laptop computers, has announced that they will be launching their leather-wrapped U2E laptop in Taipai next week. The U2E weighs in at just 1.25 kilograms, and its power-saving, battery-friendly design includes an LED backlight for its 11-inch LCD panel, and a 32Gigabyte solid-state drive (SSD) instead of a hard disk drive (HDD).
LCD screens backlit by LEDs use 10-15% less power that cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) backlights, the type currently used on most laptop screens. SSDs save power compared to HDDs because they don’t contain any moving parts.
Asus will not be revealing the price of the U2E until its launch next week; they will also be revealing where the laptop will be first released. If their normal procedures are followed, then the computer will be released in Asia and Europe first.
